This unit converts any device with a serial output for input via the PS2 port of a host system. It is intended for use with barcode readers, card readers and similar peripherals.

It consists of a microcontroller based electronic circuitry that performs the protocol translation and system interface functions.

It is housed in an ABS enclosure that measures 90mm(L) x 50mm (W) x 25mm (H).

It is fitted with a 9pin D type plug, on a flying lead, for connecting the serial device and a  6pin mini Din plug, on a flying lead, for use on the system.
