This unit converts data from any PS2 device into a serial format. It may be used to enable PS2 peripherals like barcode scanners, card readers, etc. to be fed through the serial port of a host system.

The output is at RS232 signal levels and provision is made for adjusting the output baud rate and data format. 

It consists of a microcontroller based electronic circuitry that performs the protocol translation and system interface functions.

It is housed in an ABS enclosure that measures 90mm(L) x 50mm (W) x 25mm (H).

It is fitted with a 6pin mini Din socket for connecting the PS2 device and a 9pin Dtype connector for use on the system.

Provision is made for the whole assembly to be fed from an external 5volt supply.
