This unit is fitted at the local end of an extender system that enables a (PS2) keyboard and mouse to be located at distances of up to 500 metres from the host system.
Provision is also made for an optional keyboard and mouse to be connected via this unit to the user's system.
The unit is designed for use, as a pair with the, remote unit PC1410.
It consists of a microcontroller based electronic circuitry which performs the system interface functions and signal reconditioning for long distance transmission.
It is housed in a tough ABS enclosure which measures .
It is fitted with with an RJ45 coupler (socket) on a flying lead, for connection to the user supplied cat5 standard network cable.
It is also fitted with two 6pin mini din plugs for connection to the PS2 keyboard and mouse ports on the user's system.
There is also a provision for a 6pin mini din socket for the connection of the local keyboard and mouse.
