This unit can be programmed to change the characters that are produced from any of the keys on the standard PC (PS2) keyboard.
The changed character may be a single character or any number of characters up to and greater than 100.
The new character(s) may be invoked by pressing one key or a combination of any 2 keys on the keyboard.
The new character(s) are stored in 'non-volatile' memory and are not affected by power loss to the system.
The module consists of a microcontroller based electronic circuitry which provides the data collection storage, and retrieval functions.
A 6pin mini din socket is provided for connecting the PC keyboard and the assembly is housed in a tough ABS enclosure.
The output is via a USB type A male connetor mounted on a flying lead
